On the way to roost tonight, we saw where there had been a roadkill just a few miles from the house. It was where a busy highway splits a big piece of public land. So on the way back, I stopped to investigate. Ended up being a big gobbler with about a 10 inch beard and nice spurs. He wasn't there this morning, so sometime between 730am and 630pm, he made his last road crossing.
