I'm looking to get the tightest possible patterns with TSS I can

I have a IC .675 for my 22.5" 835 got pretty good 40 yard WLB/XR patterns but would like to know if a Pattermaster Code Black in .665" will give me tighter core patterns shooting Apex Ninja 2.5oz of #8.5 TSS VS the IC or end up with blown open patterns.

I havent been able to pattern my 835 with TSS yet due to much to awful range conditions last trip. I get awesome patterns with my 870 ESM and a .665 IC choke shooting same Apex Turkey Ninja shells wondering if the same will be true with my 835 and a .665 Pattermaster Code Black.

Here's my 2 cents.  I have an 835.  The 835 has been tested by many and it does its best work with chokes in the .670 to .676 with its over bored barrel.  The Remmy 870 tests show it patterns best with chokes around .665.  I can't attest to TSS but my 835 hammers birds with Hevi-13 7's.  I've been told that the 835 shoots TSS the best with a little more open choke not tighter.  If you go to a tighter choke like the .665 it may blow the pattern.  A test is the only way to know for sure. .005 may not seem like much but eventually .005 will be too much constriction.

Thanks for the technical info on the 835 I didn't know 835's do their best work with a choke between .670 and .675.
I will give the .675 IC a try Tuesday. It did very well with WLB/XR 2oz #5 shot. Didn't count the pellets in the 10" circle but no doubt there were at least as many as my 870 puts in and that's in the 140ish neighborhood.

That IC .675 is a GREAT choke for the 835.  You are about perfectly balanced.  The chokes that do really well are the Pure Gold .670, the Sumtoy .675, the SSX .670, colonial .676 and the stardot .676 are just a few.  I'm not sure if you have deep cleaned and polished your barrel but it will make a difference in tightening your patterns.  I shoot the .670 Pure Gold, in my 835, with 2 1/4 oz Hevi 7's and she will put 300 plus in the 10 at 40.  Hope this helps.
