This leaves me wondering just how many hunters that shot at a bird and had it fly up in a tree would jump to the conclusion that they had crippled it...whether they actually did so or not? I suspect the "it was crippled" crowd would be significantly greater than the "I just missed him and he flew up into a tree so I'm not gonna shoot him" crowd. I could be mistaken, though...
