My daughter turns 16 2 days before youth day in Alabama. Damn the luck.

Here in NC, she is still considered a youth until her 18th birthday (2 more years) but she does have to have her hunting license at 16.  As others have said check the regs before you completely rule it out in your state.

Just checked the regulations - youth refers to children who have not reached their 16th birthday.

Bummer, Sorry to hear this, seems every State has a different opinion on EVERYTHING!

Was going to take my great nephew this weekend, but 90% + chance of rain both days. If we see a break, we are going hunting.  But for him, every day is youth day.  He hunts with us all year and is always first up on the gun.

First weekend in April for our Learn to Hunt Program, then Youth Weekend to follow, I already have a number of hunts lined up for the kids, last years was a great one as always!
