Long Box

Recommendations on a long box? Would like to have one before mid April.

Steve Mann.  Boat Paddle Call.  Cedar over Poplar/Alder.  The guys from Mossy Oak called Steve when they wanted long boxes for the Mr Fox Vest.  I don't go into the woods without the one in the picture.

Agreed on cedar/poplar and cedar/alder, but also can recommend cedar/butternut, cedar/mahogany, cedar/walnut, cedar/chestnut....if Steve builds it it will be all turkey.

Not sure where he's currently at with his list and wait times, but I do know that he's building calls for shows right now, he might have an extra available as part of that process if you call and talk to him.

Someone else who makes a great long box is David Halloran: Look for his IPE over Black Limba or his Ebony over Black Limba ... ONE of his Ebony over Black Limba is on eBay now ....

Great advice here.

I was considering a holster but I rarely have a belt as the pants I wear have suspenders and I don't know if I would like having it on my hip. Hoping to just put it in the box call holder on my Sitka vest, it will be sticking out and won't be able to close the lid but should be secure.
