A good bit of North Carolina looks like an atomic bomb went off. There are areas where there are few roads left to drive on at the moment. My heart goes out to those folks as well as those in Georgia and Florida who got hit as well. Praying for Grace on all those affected.

Prayers and hope to all effected. Real nice to see the owners of several football teams donate to the relief funds.

Coastal GA here, had winds over 100mph. Family in Taylor Co Fla, they've been destroyed AGAIN. Friends in Valdosta GA have shown me the worst damage I've seen so far, and know some folks west of Augusta that will be weeks without power. One friend lost his home and another friend I saw the night of the storm wrecked into a downed tree and may lose his life. Been unconscious for several days and more surgeries to go, this is one of the worst storms in our lifetimes.

I'm in North Florida, we had 111 mph winds. The good lord watched over me. No structural damage to home lots of large trees down. Two large live oaks both close to 200 years old fell on opposite sides of the house with limbs brushing the house. Estimates of 7 to 10 days before we have power, but we blessed. Many families lost everything.
Praying for all those affected.

Had a tornado pass right over my house, my neighbors on each side got away unscathed. I lost my fences and probably need a new roof. Hauled off 6 loads of debris so far. Insult to injury, tore my right bicep Saturday. Keep forgetting my age
Pray as if everything depends on God, work like everything depends on you

Had a thought the other day of Cherokee NC, any words out of there? I haven't seen or heard anything out of there.
With their river system and mountainous area I imagine it's not good.

WNC looks like a war
zone.Total
destruction. Whole towns washed away. Some towns still havnt been visited because all roads are gone.Where is Fema? It has caused more destruction here than anywhere.National news has nothing to say.We got lucky, just north of us is totally devastated. People are cut off from the rest of the country and are suffering. Biggest thing you hear about is Asheville where they literally found bodies in trees as the water recedes .No mention of complete towns washed away and hundreds if not thousands missing. Sad, very sad

I've seen FEMA work enough to know they are already there. Getting a place to stay and getting out to the hardest hit areas has to be real hard. Rescue, supplies and help is hampered by the road damages. I feel for the folks hit so hard and those trying to help. It's a real tough one to deal with or even respond to.

That was one crazy bad storm. It made it clear to us in southern Ohio. We had 8.25" of rain and 60 MPH winds. No damage like people in the southern states, but lots of trees and limbs down a few buildings damaged and thousands lost power for several hours to a couple days. We were in a severe drought, so the rain all soaked in and was useful. I grew up in a river flood plain and we suffered many catastrophic floods in the early 60s and I feel for those victims. There was no FEMA or aid groups back then, just family and neighbors.

Prayers for everyone involved. My company helped the open roads for the first responders west of where the eye made landfall. These big storms do alot of damage. Hurricane Michael made landfall about 30 miles from me as a cat 5. The landscape you know and love will never be the same. Those large hardwood cannot be replaced. It takes about 5 years before the vegetation starts to grow back with fullness. About the same time for all the building demo and rebuilds to end.
Keep your heads up and help each other. You will see the good in neighbors when something like this happens.
