Don't remember exactly but I would say at least a year or better.

Well, I find this thread very interesting. I've got a Cody slate and glass in my vest right now. Purchased both in 97 or 98 from Bill directly at the NWTF Convention in Columbus, Ohio I believe. Both have strikers that he matched to the call while I watched. I'm thinking they are both Envy's.

I started out with an Envy slate and a Spec 1 glass in the mid to late eighties. Eventually gave the Envy to my son and replaced it with a World Class slate. I cracked the slate in the World Class and sent it back to Bill. He replaced the slate and I believe I just paid shipping and when I got it back it sounded better than it did when it was new. Never had an issue with customer service and all three of those calls sound as good as any I have ever heard.

Don't believe the hype, hype, hype. 
Typical aggrandizement and infatuation with something that is difficult to obtain.
Soooooo many calls effectively call in birds, it's not magic
And to be honest, not that difficult.

Very True, but it sure does make me feel better carrying a call I have a lot of confidence in using.
