Just MY OPINION, but an optic advertised by it's manufacturer as be designed for an outdoor and hunting application is expecting or at least should be with a 100% certainty expecting absolutely ALL of the external components of such optics to be exposed to getting wet on a regular basis and should have directly resulted in the choice of components to maximize resistance to corrosion undr normal outdoor hunting use.

Personally I would send it in, once they send me a new one as odds are economically speaking it will be their best choice to just send you a new one, once you have it sell it to fund its's replacement.

That way you sold someone a solid NIB problem free product your conscious is clear, and you can help fund your new RD. Everyone's a winner.

I sent mine in with a return number supplied by them and never got it back. When I contacted them they gave me the run around ,until finally they said they could do nothing to help me out and then ghosted me and my questions. Never again !!!!!!!!!!!
