Well I think I remember say around 1999 there was talk of Rem stopping production on the SP10 due to lack of sales.  I don't know the specific year that they stopped actually making them though.  But I thought I was correct that they are in fact no longer made.

I have not heard this.... far as I know, Remington is still producing them.


I got an e-mail from Gander Mtn the other day... had Free Shipping on their used guns... there were several SP-10's for $600-$800 that were in near new condition.

Remington unfortuently discontinued the SP-10 line.

I did find out that 1989 was the year Rem introduced the SP10.

a buddy of mine owns a gun shop and he told me that remington stopped producing the sp10 this month so all they have left is what they just made and whatever they have left to build they're still going to carry parts for them just not produce them
he's ordering 15 of them and me my dad and a few people we know are getting our hands on them while we can 
oh and all they have is synthetic camo's

Although they are discontinuing the SP-10 for the most part,  I think they are still going to make the 23" Rem Choke, Thumb Hole Stock, Turkey, Full Mossy Oak Obsession Camo.  For how long who knows?  That could also change too.

I have a SP-10 that I will probably put on Gunbroker in the fall.  I'll give a heads up to the board before I do so anyone who is interested can take a look.  It's in excellent condition.  Great guns they are but I'm getting to old to use it anymore.

My son had one and it worked well in the goose blind but not for carrying around for turkeys. That's one heavy shotgun but to each his own.

Well I finally got a pic and it looks pretty rough barrel looks good but bluing is rubbed off on trigger guard (looks dinged up too) and wood is scratched up pretty bad. Think I'm going to pass.

Talk him down, due to condition, and then get it camo dipped.  Problem solved.
