Double vs Single side

Just curious...Other than the obvious and personal preference, is there any benefit of a single side compared to a double side?

Have made both. I see no benefit.

Although I don't make a single side, I personally like the cant on the lid created by the off set screw hole. Seems to always be at the right angle, especially for those beginning to  use a box call.
