Scratch box size

It's my perception that scratch boxes can be either almost as long as a short box or small enough to fit in your shirt pocket.  I have one of the small ones from Kevin Kirkpatrick that's the size I like, but it's the only scratch box I have.  Who else makes the smaller scratch boxes, or am I mistaken about the size?

Not sure exactly what dimensions you are seeking, but these are relatively small and sound very good:

Here's a sampling of sizes for you. There are a few common "styles" of scratchers. Top left is an SS that I believe to be a Neil Cost style build. Below it is one from Jeff White. That's the sound board side and is built similarly to the SS, just not as wide. Bottom on left side is from Anthony Ellis and closer to Kevin's size. Top right is Tim Sanford, below is one of Marvin's (TarHeel), then one of Kevin's you mentioned liking, and the bottom is a Charlie Parrish. I call all of those and the Ellis call a "shirt pocket" style. They are lighter weight and thinner calls. A Super Yelper would be another example of that style. The last style that I don't have pictured is a Henry Davis style which is similar to the Cost style, but longer I believe.

Tim Fralick offers at least one and I think more that fits in a plastic case and then in your shirt pocket that sounds very good.

For shirt pocket fit, hard to beat one of these:

Agreed! Didn't have mine handy for a photo but definitely a top choice. Richard is good people to talk to as well.

I think I have 13 Super Yelper Scratchboxes. I think the only wood I don't have is Teakwood which was his battleship call made from a deck board from the actual battleship.
Definitely my go to scratchboxes and the death of a few gobblers already.

Grand Slam Turkey Calls makes one like Russell Beard used to make. It's a small cedar scratchbox that's about 4" by 2.5". Great little box.
