If you watch a lot of time the owl hooting pressure from roads and vehicles will be gone from an area by 9 or 10 am lots of the days. So be going in shortly after the pressure ends for the day. Call very little and very soft. Look for turkey sign and hunt these areas. Lots of the time gobblers will sneak in to find the new hen that's being coy and shy. It's not the hard gobbling exciting hunt until you've been quiet for 30 or 45 minutes between calls and suddenly a gobbler blows your hat off when he is right on you looking for the hen.
