torque?

I emailed Franchi on what torque setting the base for an affinity 3 should be with locite. They answered quickly with 18-25 lbs. It's one thing to strip the threads on a base, but don't want to strip the receiver. 18-25lbs seems to be a wide range of torque??? Would you split the difference at 22lbs? Thanks

That is most likely inch lbs not ft lbs. If it is indeed inch lbs you're good.

yes, 18-25inch lbs. The wheeler wrench is setup in inch lbs??
