I had the pleasure of obtaining two Mike Lapp Push Pin calls and I must say I am very impressed!
Wood – 1 - Cherry
            1 - Poplar
•   Quality and workmanship are outstanding. These are beautiful calls!
         Sound
•   Both calls offer that unique, realistic, and consistent sounds from yelps, clucks and purrs.
•   The purr is sweet even when done in that soft come see me whisper.
•   The notes are clear and crisp both on the front and back end of the call. Yet maintains that woodsy natural sound.
•   These are quality calls that will talk Turkey all day long for sure.
Disclaimer: No disrespect implied or intended to any other call maker of Push Pin calls but these are the best I have! When I am lucky enough to obtain some other calls I would be happy to write a review but there again it would be my opinion.

Man those are some nice calls.

Did you get to choose the type of wood?

I'd love to hear a sound file or video of these things.
You are going to find him endlessly fascinating, occasionally easy, regularly difficult, and frequently impossible, but never dull. -Col. Tom Kelly

Here's one Mike was going to put in the burn pile.
Offered it to me as a gift then started fiddling with it.
Before long, magic hands brought it around.
It's in my collection and will hunt...
