Jumped down the trumpet rabbit hole myself this year.  There are some great callmakers on this site and all have been really good guys and easy to work with.  Moye has a few calls for sale now and his are easy to play.  Dave Shoemaker and Tom Osmer both make great horns as well, in addition to the guys already mentioned.

Permar's 1917 and 1920 are both shorter yelpers. As is his delrin classic.

Seth Hamon makes a killer jordan yelper. Perfect one hander that sounds
amazing. Just moving the middle finger open & closed adds a crazy fluctuation
in the tones & volume. Very easy to play.

His trumpets are equally killer. His jordan paired with his trumpet is a lights
out combo.

Sounds good enough to call in a little flock with two hens, a jake & two strutting
tom's to 7 yards at my feet. Only the second time having it out. Seth makes some
players for sure.


Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
