Which would you get if you had a choice. Looking at picking up a 20ga.

Cannot beat the reliability, price, and simplicity of a good pump. I don't think a semi-auto creates a quicker "follow up shot", because with tight turkey patterns and guns, you are still having to aim. Most of the time in real life scenarios anyway, if the first shot doesn't land, the second and third are futile. If you are used to a pump gun, the pump action becomes fluid and second nature as well.

Because of some shoulder problems I really prefer using the semi, pump would be difficult to rack for me.

Keep it simple. Pump.

If my 25 year old H&R single with the factory dip old Bottomland was a 20 gauge instead of a 12, I'd be carrying that instead of the Mossy 20 gauge pump.
A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

Neither! Good Ol single shot for me.

Pumps will do the job, but semis will do it better.
Semis are lighter, sleeker, better handling, less recoil, faster follow ups.

I like pumps, but semi-autos are just sooooo light in 20ga.

If you worry about a "jam" on a follow shot with a semi, go pump. But a reliable semi does a great job too. I enjoy and use both. I find not disadvantages with either.......

Pump for me,use whatever feels the best to you.

Have and enjoy both, pump is my pick for turkey hunting and turkey only.

If I had to choose just one, that is an easy choice. I'm taking a pump, a bps pump.

Just bought a 20 gauge pump for a turkey gun that will get a lot of use with kids. I like the safety of a pump for a kid.

I prefer a gas powered semi over a pump for recoil reduction, but prefer an O/U to either for the choice of chokes.
