Hunted some of my childhood stomping grounds in TN with my father. We relived many great memories and we're both able to tag a gobbler.


Was able to get a buddy's kid on a nice MO gobbler.


Hunted hard in MO and was finally able to put a couple slick public ground gobblers into checkmate.

Ran up to IA this past week and a buddy and I both filled our tags on public ground. His first bird outside the state of MO.

Juvenile season 2023

 Tagged out in NY with my 45# double carbon Omega Native in the same spot. 150 grain Snuffers with 510 total arrow weight, 5-6 yard shots and both down quickly in sight. Now working in Alaska for 5 months,  gave me time to prepare for the trip.

5/1 opening day, 9:23am: 21 3/4 lbs, nub beard, 1" spurs:



5/9, 5:44am: 17 1/2 lbs, 10" beard, 3/4 & 1/2" broken spurs:

Opening mornin '23 and old lady's first bird. Hers 12 1/4" beard 1" spurs 16 pounds 24 yards. Mine 9" beard 1 1/8 spurs 19 pounds 16 yards

Last day. Gobbled from 5:40 until 10:12 when killed was 3 gobblers together in a strut zone. He was strutter 10 3/4" beard 1 3/16" spurs 20 pounds 9 yards
