Memorable S FL Youth Hunt

Had a challenging but great hunt this past weekend  with my 15 yr old daughter who was fortunate to draw a highly sought after tag in this area. She's still recovering from pretty major back surgery and she really fought through a lot to get to and finally make the shot she did on this old black winged osceola gobbler.

I'm so, so proud of her and going to miss the youth hunts as she ages out of this stage of life. My most memorable hunts by far have been watching her older brother and herself over the years. This one certainly did not disappoint and is going to be heavy on memories for the rest of our lives. I'll never forget the look on her face after she finally made an extremely hard shot twisting her body around to put a tag on a gobbler that was on trajectory to strut his way out of our lives forever. But it was like she had done it thousands of times as she made her move slowly but steady and deliberately testing the new rods in her  back, centering the dot on his neck and squeezing the trigger with precision before he could figure out what was happening.

Love this girl, love this time with her and the passion we get to share.
