Some of the more spalted/wormy calls in my collection

Beautiful calls! Marlin does make some beautiful wormy and spalted calls that are always pure turkey. I'll try to get a snap shot of a few I have later.

Here are four of mine: Wormy persimmon slate by Brad Roberts, snakewood over wormy spalted tamarind shortbox by Jody Harrison, Lee Chadwicks stabilized flamebox elder trumpet, and Ernie Fetters rosewood over wormy chestnut longbox

Your whole collection is really nice. And that fetters long box is awesome.

Nice. Waiting to hear back from Jody myself, never had one of his boxes before.

Oh, you will NOT be disappointed! Mine are on the more raspy end of the spectrum and they produce big time in my neck of the woods. They run effortlessly, and they're beautifully crafted.

Buncha BEAUTIFUL calls, fellers !!!

I have a Mac ebony/wormy persimmon Marlin fiddle box, a bloodwood/wormy chestnut Fetters paddle and an older wormy butternut Marlin long box that you can seriously see through.  It's THAT worm-holey.

The wormier the better, more lightweight that way, less to carry!  :TooFunny:

Cool little spalted and wormy fiddle maple Mississippi scratch box....

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

I like that, think that is the maker I had hoped to get this year. Very nice looking call. Edit: Yep, that's the maker, found it in a folder. Old conversation. http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php?topic=99987.0;topicseen
