If there is, I may actually consider an unnumbered one as a viable option then. I listened to their podcast and they just mentioned how bloody the seat was on their prototype last spring from everyone carrying them out over the shoulder. They talked about carrying them out by the feet vs head. I just assumed it didn't have a place for one after that conversation and looking at the pics on website.

Another thing that isn't clear, are the unnumbered ones going to be $450 too? I surely hope not, as that is definitely out of the price range of your average turkey hunter. Also makes you wonder just how many unnumbered ones they are going to produce. The numbered ones, go ahead with the price. No problem selling out even if you made them $1,000.
The Mossy Oak boys at the convention said around 3500 vests total, all vest will be $450. The ones without numbers will not have the optional purchase of matching #'d custom Mr. Fox Apex ammo to go with them. They aren't forcing the purchase of the ammo, but it's assumed as apart of the original run of #'d vests making the price $525 out the gate for those rather than the baseline $450. There also a few calls, a CODY Green Machine only 400 of those for convention vests for extra $75, Rolling Thunder pot is $100, Primos box call is $100, Quaker Boy is $50. After tax for the vest, and all the publicly released calls you're looking at around $1000.

Wow.

I completely understand the reasoning for the vest and the price for the numbered ones. But I'm a bit disappointed in the price for the non-numbered ones and seeing all those other dollar figures thrown around. You'd think they'd try to make some affordable for the average turkey hunter, especially considering the average hunter is where the majority of their camo revenue comes from. Oh well, $$ talks.

You know, I've thought long a hard about this vest and what it means, its implications, what it says about the state of things, turkey hunting now and the market in general. I've come to the conclusion...who cares, it's fine, if the young guys want to pay for it so what? It's kind of a cool thing and although the marketing by Mossy Oak is completely over the top and somwhat nauseating to me, let the guys who want it have some fun with their money.  USE them though, don't make them show pieces, then I'll really throw up.

was at convention yesterday. Don't be disappointed... they have other vests that aren't that expensive for those folks who want a cheaper option... then again that's a solution to a lot of gripes and people on here don't like that.

I didn't realize these vests were such a big deal. I should have paid more attention when my buddy told me he was picked by the family as one of the hunters to where the vest that was being passed around. He drove out of state to pick it up and ended up killing a bird in it.

I tried to get one today but no luck. Saw guys getting two at a time, also saw some for sale at other vendors booths but didn't ask a price but one had a sign for 2000 dollars

I like the addition of what looks like cushioning for the back on this if I am understanding the picture right. I would like to see the same for the bottom, maybe that would allow me to get out of the blind, I miss ground hunting. I would like to see a seat with a small slit near the back to take pressure from the tailbone as that is one of my most sensitive areas.

I respect that being an issue and hate that you have to deal with stuff ongoing from a past severe injury. That said, listening to your need - the Glenda Green innertube seat would have to be ideal for you based on what you wished for as far as a seat with a void to keep pressure off the coccyx bone. On her tube, if one runs it about fifty percent inflated it is really comfortable and there will be nothing contacting that bone which is causing major discomfort. If you want to run a vest, you could just detach the seat (most vests will allow this, but not all) and then put her tube seat in the back stash area on the back of your current vest.

The seats made in Myanmar

The rest of the vest is USA from what I can tell.

I was there and there way of allocation was a total sham. Almost everyone who got one was a vendor or a friend of an exhibitor or vendor. The email with directions on how to get a ticket went to my promotions inbox on Wednesday before the show and I never saw it. Had no idea you needed to have been there at 4 AM to get a ticket on Thursday. No one there at the show mentioned it either. There was a bunch of us disappointed.

Already seen one being sold online for $2500.00, hmmm sorry but I don't agree with the greed... Buy a limited edition like this just to turn a profit.

Haha charging $450 for a vest and it's wrong for the purchaser to make a buck?

I fully intend to try to snag one online and do the same. That is if any numbered ones make it online.
