Similar to what's been done for other makers, lets use this thread to post pictures of the fine gobbler killing yelpers that Mr. Lewis Stowe has made through the years.  Kill pictures, pictures from the field, and pictures from the turkey rooms that have them, lets honor Mr. Lewis and his fine "bugles". Surely he will be honored and missed in the Spring woods this year throughout the country

Love the Delrin!

Here are a couple of pictures Lewis sent me of some of his more recent creations. I thought I'd share them. His designs changed through the years. Most of these are ironwood I believe. He told me it was his favorite wood.

That Roanoke, Davis, standard set is pretty slick and I love that delrin call. I wasn't a huge fan of Lewis' yelpers, but from all accounts he was a fine, fine man. Cool to see some of y'all's collections of his work.

All of these are killer calls in every sense.  Zobo great pictures, the Lignum Davis call is his personal hunting call. He used that call to call up and kill his last gobbler.

Thing I love about his calls, meant truly for its purpose, not for on the shelf to impress, for fooling gobblers, no nonsense, plain and simple. This is the appeal of Lewis Stowe... for me at least.

Here's a snapshot of a video Lewis sent me on March 11th last year after he'd finished my trumpet.  He also sent me an instructional video.

He was a amazing person. H was just Lewis trying to make you happy. Great guy. My favorite calls from him. All elephant ivory.
