I had a benelli nova in the 12 gauge once.  I could not get rid of it fast enough as in my opinion it was a piece of junk

My dedicated turkey gun is a Nova...never had a problem with it.

I hunted a Benelli SuperNova for a long time. Only difference between the two is the stock. It was a good gun. Shot great patterns. I will say toward the end I ran into the spring issue often associated with Benellis (light strikes, dreaded "Benelli click"). Replaced that spring and it was fine. My only gripe with that gun was the heft of the foreend, and that's just personal preference. I don't like a big foreend on a gun. Like I said, they're good guns. Certainly not junk as some folks are suggesting.

Id toss it an get a $199 savage 301 20 gauge.  Not worth fixing IMO

Big thing is how much can you get it for.  You will have money in it and chokes because it will probably be to thin to thread back factory.   So gun plus 130 to 150 all in who does it.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

thanks for the replies and opinions everyone. I did pass on the Benelli however, I left him with a standing offer of $125. I figured for that price cut down on both ends it would have a purpose around the house or in the pick-up.
