I have called in a few for folks but on their club or land and not mine.

I called in 2 for my dad last year and one later for his buddy.

I called in another couple for a friend that took me to his new property that he bought

I have read all the replies so far. Glad,I am not alone. I just have to be a little more firm about being alone on opening Day.

I enjoy seeing someone else shoot a turkey as much as me shooting one

I help out on more birds than I kill in a season. Sometimes it can get overwhelming with the people that ask me to help them.

Like Chad said the short answer is "yes"......however starting last year I told friends to supply the "turkey woods" and I would
provide all the rest of the ingredients to get to cooking!!!

This.... Most of the time.  It's one thing when the guy from work wants to go hunting vs the guy who is a real friend.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I'll call for anyone ever needs or wants calling for. The shooting part's easy. The game of its what I love most. Win the game and I could care less who pulls the trigger, unfilled tags or not.

I don't mine helping a family member or friend in calling gobblers, they just have to ask.. in my opinion one of the best ways to learn about calling gobblers is learning from your own mistakes. Even us season hunters still make mistakes in hunting these gobblers. I have in the pass called for friends that got to killer there first gobbler.

I only call for my dad. He don't get around so we'll anymore.

I dont really have that problem while turkey hunting. But I do when I go fishing. With extended family, friends and children on board I'm relegated to rigging, baiting, untangling, unhooking, filleting etc. I can't remember the last time I actually caught a fish!

Been there. Done that!....Lot's of times in the past.  Word to the wise IF you hunt public land (or land you do not have exclusive access to):  TRUST NO ONE!  It WILL come back to bite you in the butt at some point down the road!   ::)

Along the way,I have had some super easy shots on nice Gobblers "if",I was alone. But,I am the caller and the person shoots over the Top- " again"...

Learned that lesson many years ago. Co-worker was looking to take just a doe. Knew I was regularly successful where I bow hunted on public ground...he asked and I told. The next year he was there with four or five guys. This was even though I told him not to spread it around.

I put people on 4 birds and killed 4 myself this year. In random order, I killed 3 of mine pretty early in the season as well with one of em being on opening day. Wish I'd had time to keep hunting, work had me too busy to travel much after that. Still a great season.

I enjoy hunting with friends and family. I couldn't count the number of people I took to get their first bird. It's not unusual for me to have 2-4 people with me. I get some days to myself.
Been doing it that way for 30 plus years.

Good times, I encourage it.
