The high bidder had their bid canceled by the seller probably because they had 0 feedback then the next bidder retracted their bid. They will probably say they put the wrong amount in or something like that.

As if people spending this kind of cash on calls wouldn't have their heirs informed of the value of those calls. Ridiculous.

For some the history and legend that comes with a trumpet like that means far more than the almighty dollar. Some of us have a deep connection to things that others may not understand. That was a great price for that call and I hardly doubt the buyer will lose any money.

    While I agree that's a crazy amount of money for a turkey call, I think in general the high end market for quality turkey calls by famous makers will continue to appreciate over time. Only a limited number of these calls will ever be made. These are handmade masterful instruments made by a select few makers and should continue to be highly sought-after because of their legendary status.  This forum has a lot to do with that status.

A call made by Zach for Earl Mickel. I don't know why anyone is surprised by the price with two legends like that involved.
