Girsan MC312/ Longbeard .650/ Longbeard ammo
« on: May 04, 2021, 08:12:57 PM »
Just got my Girsan MC312 and shot this pattern. Measured 40 yards. .650 Carlson's Longbeard choke with 2 1/8 ounce 3 1/2" #6 Longbeard XR. 8.875" circle because that's the only size paper plate I had to trace around. 247 hits in the 8.875" circle. Roughly 270 in a 10" circle.

I'm going with adjustable fiber optics. I don't trust electronics on my gun. Is there any type of reflex sight that has a reticle that is always visible without using a battery?

Nothing that’s adjustable that I know of. I think there are some that have solar panels built in tho.

Vortex makes an etched reticle red dot. I have one on my 870 and run it without illumination most of the time. It's the spitfire.

That's something I could appreciate! So it'll have a reticle even if it's not illuminated obviously?

Correct. The only thing I don't like about it is how high it sits on the gun. I made a cheek weld out of some strips of an old camping pad and it fixed that problem.
