Had a big strutter w 3 hens at 40 yesterday evening and waited hoping for a close shot for my 8yr old Boyd.  A hen got in the way when I decided I better kill him.  Raining heavy this morn.

That sounded bad.  I did not shoot when the hen got in the way and the tom drifted out of range.
