Stoeger M3020 & Canuck Hunter(Tristar) c400

I'm going to purchase one of these in the next few days to use for ducks,grouse and turkeys. I have some extra cash and have it narrowed down to one of these, the c400 would be a 26" barrel in bottomland/bronze finish and I may go with a 26" black synthetic or the 28" true timber finish in the stoeger m3020.

I had a stoeger pump and all It did was jam 12 -13 years ago but a close friend has been using a stoeger 12 ga semi for ducks for 15 or so years and has put it through hell and has nothing but praise for it.

I thought about others but these are the two I am looking at now.I looked for a few other models the last month and no luck.

I may be leaning a bit towards the stoeger m3020 at this time.

I just picked up a Stoeger M3020 in Bottomland and burnt bronze cerakote with a 26" barrel.  I'm gonna try to get out for a little small game hunting to run some shells through it in the next few days.

To me when I took it apart to clean all of the factory grease off it the barrel seemed to have some slop after putting it back together (I could slightly rotate it back and forth about 1/16"). I'm not sure how common or normal this is, I'm not the most knowledgeable in shotguns; just point shoot and clean kinda guy lol.

Thank you.  I put my Williams Fire Sight on it thinking that would be the better option than drilling and tapping the receiver with the barrel doing that.

I should have added that although common, it has not proven to be an issue with the accuracy and they have given us great, reliable patterns.  Happy shooting!

Good deal. With me being a bigger guy this 20 gauge shoulders perfect after flipping the spacer around for a lefty. I bought it to be a backup to my 835 for turkey and for small game, but it might have to get some action this spring!

I ordered the Canuck hunter c400 20 gauge, 26" bottomland & cerakote bronze finish. They are tristar shotguns and I never could locate the stoeger model.

It has mobil choke threads,I do not have any mobil 20 gauge turkey chokes so I will be shopping around for one to add to collection in next few weeks.

Got a Jebs nitride .570 on the 20 gauge chokes for sale. It's new. I have one in my Franchi. Will shoot lights out with TSS #9....there is also a Jebs .560 on there. Lots of hunters on here have great luck with the Carlson extended .575....

Thanks, I will be buying a primos tightwad .570 first as they flat out just shoot well from every gun I have put one in,as do the Carlson's. If I need more after that,I have always wanted a Pure Gold choke for one of my guns, I would probably try one.

I just purchased an Avery finisher sling in bottomland for this gun and also a sling pack, that I am going to test out for turkey and waterfowl. It shows this gun arriving mid week but I don't have faith it won't be late.

The sling and pack won't be here for up to 30 days,ebay.

This little gun arrived on time.I just picked it up after work and put it together.Nice gun,light and easy to look at, shoulders well,fits me. It came with 5 chokes and I have a tightwad to try as well.
