Tough season but today closed out the 2011 season for me. I just got the one small gobbler with big spurs. Had several going but he was the only shot. Had two others within 40 yards but no clear shots. Had strange weather, cold, hot and torrential rains for most of the season. Next year may even be tougher as I saw no jakes this year and no two year olds. I don't know what's going on there. Good luck to those who are still hunting.

It's been a strange year Steve, tough all over with this unstable weather. This year I saw more jakes then I ever have, but they were spotty. Some places that all I saw and others I didn't see any. So maybe you have a tough old bird there that is running the jakes and younger birds off?

Congrats on the bird Steve!
Still going here, but we have had 8 days of cold, rainy weather and it seems to me gobbling has shut right down.
I still have 5 days left, but it's looking rather bleak, but not throwing the towel in yet!
