So far this has been one of my favorite books. I am only a few chapters in, but have laughed out loud several times. I like books that stir my own memories, and this one has done so. I recommend it to anyone who wants a less serious read that has an outdoor theme.

I have this book also and it is a good read, definitely a different kind of turkey book. I was lucky, got it on E-Bay and it is signed.

Saw this on ebay, wondered if it was about a homosexual turkey.

Thirty years ago when I hunted in Mississippi, I ran into a fellow and he said that the 2 boys with him were the "Jakes" in this book and that I should read it. To this day, I haven't, and had honestly forgotten both the title and author until this jogged my memory.
