Copper over wood tone board

A quick question, does anyone have any experience of using a wood tone board in a copper call? I am intrigued.

I am far from a "call builder" I have a lot to learn yet!
And I'm not in any way attempting to give advice but from what I've seen held and heard, the few I've checked out sounded great to me. I actually have some copper and wood on order to build one myself.
