.........Greetings from older guy on Vancouver Island 'north'' of WASHINGTON State.
just returned home last evening from a short 3 day elk scouting trip for this fall....bear season
is open until the 15th. but being 73 and my hunting partner over 70, we were not looking to drop a decent boar down in the ''thick stuff'' as the work of quartering and humping up and down the mountain sides is ''young buck's work''. Anyhow, Glad to have been brought into the flock today...
on the central -lower half of the big island, we have OPEN SEASON on turkey and feral pigs/hogs.....no bag limit...daylight shooting....both are here, small pockets and the hunters try to keep the treasured locations under wraps.... have heard of a flock on the edges of a golf course and 2 or 3 farms about 20 minutes south of my home.....we can shoot any rifle,shotgun,..Looking forward to setting up my camo blind and camp chair, thermos of hot coffee and several egg salad sandwiches
us ''mature guys'' like our food !!!! NAHMINT. / Glenn
