Thoughts On Danner Men's Vital Hunting Boots?

I am looking at a pair of Danner Men's Vital 8" Waterproof Hunting Boots as well as a pair of the Danner uninsulated Pronghorns which are $80.00 more than the Vital's, I was wondering if anybody could tell me anything about the Vital's or if anybody has had both and could give me a good comparison. It's a lot of money to me and I may end up returning them anyway because of my foot problems but I would at least like to know if the Vital's are even worth looking at? Thank you for any replies.

I got a pair this winter from midwayusa.com for half price. Was worried about getting footwear online without trying on 1st. Got lucky and they fit my fat feet great.

They're stiff for a while but seem to be great quality. I've put 30 plus miles on mine with no blisters.

They're warm so I've been wearing thin dress socks.

Great ankle support and they are waterproof. Walked ankle deep through many streams and even stood in water for a few minutes trout fishing last week and my socks stayed dry

I have a pair of Danner Rain Forest leather lace-up boots and the sole was terrible. After falling several times (even broke a finger once) I sent them to a shoe repair shop and had a softer Vibran sole put on them. Made a world of difference. If they ever wear out another Danner will replace them. I also have Rocky, Georgia, LaCross, North Face, etc. but those Danners spend more time on my feet than any of the others.

I have a real hard time with footwear, was in a car that hit a tree at 90 MPH back in 88 and got many broken toes, and frostbite on left foot some broken toes on right I think, I know they have been crooked since the accident lol. One foot is wider than the other and one is longer than the other and I have high insteps on both feet but the left is worse. Also some nerve damage on left foot from the frostbite so getting shoes can be a nightmare but there is no place around to find quality footwear around here, even called to the cities around me and no luck. I have spent enough to buy new boots returning boots by mail but my Amazon Prime pays return shipping so I am willing to take a chance.

I did have to use one for a few years whenever I went out to area's with lots of people because even with a cane I had very little balance. This is me with the STEELERS Super Bowl XL trophy and my GF and I at a Styx concert.

I have the Danner vital snake boots. I like them. I've always been impressed with danner boots. This is the 3rd pair I've owned. Had some pronghorn uninsulated back in the day thy were also excellent quality.

Thank you for the reply. I realized I can get these and not pay for 7 days through Amazon Wardrobe so I think I am going to take advantage of that. I wish they had that with the uninsulated Pronghorns but they do not.

Don't feel bad, I am grateful to God for making it so I not longer need it, I never thought I would be able to hunt again and now I can, even got my first turkey last year!
