How to transport turkey

For transporting a bird over statelines, how would you do it if you have to leave the beard attached? Or someway to tell it was a male. I assume if you clean the bird and have it in parts that's not a way to 100% confirm the meat you have is from a male in the game and fish's eyes right?

Beard attached to some breast feathers, keep the legs and have a tag properly filled out,notched or whatever.

I just process as normal, keeping the legs and thighs is obvious it's not a hen

Probably a good idea to keep something attached though, maybe leave feet in the drums.

Each state has it's own requirements so you need to be familiar with the regulations in every state that you will be transporting the bird through. If you get stopped in one state they aren't going to care that you followed the rules in another state if those aren't the same as the state you are stopped in. Seems like BS but that's the way it is with state control of resident wildlife.
