You say it, but you'll be back next spring.
You can't help it. None of us can. But have a good off season and post up pics of next springs kill next May.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Sorry but this is an addiction after months to cool off you'll be back chase'm next year.
I had a ruff year also but it's only 10 1/2 months till season opens.
Now you know why I hate turkeys.

Thanks for all of your words of encouragement. I can't quit, even if I wanted to I couldn't do it. This was more a story sharing my laughing at myself. I have more stories of failures, or what I like to call learning experiences. I just like to have my season last, if I actually got a turkey I have 3 children whom I need to get out and experience the greening of spring, the woodcock dancing, the arrival of the warblers, the drumming of the grouse, the stumbling upon of fawns, and yes, most importantly the gobbling of the turkey and adrenalin rush of spying a tail fan breaking the horizon. I don't think they have a pill to fix this.
And all the drugs in the world couldn't replace this feeling!!!!
There are two types of hunters; normal hunters and turkey hunters.
