Is a trumpet harder to run than a wingone!

I can get satisfactory turkey sounds from a wingbone.
Do you use a trumpet the same way or is it harder to use?

I'm no expert by any means, but a good Trumpet should be easier to use and more consistant than a wingbone.

No a trumpet is not harder to blow/suck. I agree that the trumpet is a little more consistant. I had a gobbler going crazy with my trumpet about a week ago.

Suck, with as little air as you can.   Almost like sucking water up through a straw at a slow and controlled speed.

You want to "Draw" air into the trumpet.....its easier worked out in lots of practice rather than trying to explain in words.

Nah, they are both impossible to run well for the average human.

I can get the occasional turkey sound out of either but can't consistently get good sounds.  I was given a beautiful wingbone and trumpet call by friends and can't do either of them justice.
