I thought this article has merit worth reading for a different point of view and might be part of the problem with declining turkey numbers in some states and regions.
We wait all year,why not enjoy the longbeard coming in hunting for a hen, let 'em' in close !!!

A major problem is too many hunters and the NWTF is greatly responsible for the increase in hunter numbers. The turkey will give the hunter all the room the hunter demands which pushes the turkey into inadequate habitat.
