We were on several birds most of the morning before losing to hens and striking out. After a quick lunch break we headed back to our best farm in hopes of finding a Tom that was lonely.
After a 3/4 mile hike we slipped up to a field edge and spied this LB almost 300 yrds away near a fencerow.
One call put him in half strutt and the game was on. He marched towards us, zig zagging back and forth looking for the hen.
He dipped down into a small ravine then reappeared almost 100 yrds to our left. One more call pitched over our right shoulder put him back into strutt and turned him in our direction again. He skirted the field edge until walking along towards our set until getting blind sided with a heavy dose of Magnum Blend!
Ronntn (my hunting partner and member of Old Gobbler) did the calling on this bird and also video'd it.
We try to video when we can get away with it and this is one of the better ones.
