Indonesian rosewood striker

We made a table top for a customer out of this wood. I had enough left over to turn 8 strikers. This is the 1st one. Difficult to work with because of the extreme hardness. I like a great sound on any of my pot call.

Do you mean East Indian Rosewood?

Never heard of Indonesian rosewwod.

All that I've read about it is that sometimes E. Indian rosewood was marketed to Indonesia to grow in plantations....therefore it is the same species, Dalbergia latifolia, it just originated from a different location. Sometimes refered to as "sonokeling"

Looks like east indian to me??? But what do I know.

Its very popular in the guitar industry.

JL I  believe you are correct. I'll  talk with a buyer of exotic furniture and he will get into all the specifics. One of those guys you ask a question and be prepared to listen for an hour. LOL
