Thanks, everyone. I agree 100%, it is a looker. And of course its better in person than in the pics! But as good as it looks, this .45 trumpet sounds even better.

Ralph was very pleased with how this turned out, and rightfully so! He pointed me in the direction of a reddish wood to tie in the amber tip, and the ironwood / amber combo worked perfectly.
