Venom compatible with weaver base?

Thinking of putting a Vortex Venom on an 870. Will the supplied picatinny mount fit on a weaver base? Thanks in advance.

Mine has. If by chance you get a Weaver base that the cross bolt in the mount won't fit in, a small flat file and about ten passes will open up the slot wide enough for it to fit. Just be careful to keep your file parallel with the slot. Odds are, you won't have to worry about any filing. Between my son and I, we have five red dots (Vortex Venoms and Burris Fastfire III) And haven't had to touch a base for them to fit....
