Snake gaiters spin-off

I hunt a lot of low lying areas so I absolutely need rubber boots during turkey season. I have a pair of snake proof rubber muck boots in which the inside "heel" areas have worn down to the rubber. Even before they wore down, those boots are about 1/2 as comfortable as non-insulated rubber muck boots.

I recently bought a new pair of those muck woody sport's off camofire for less than $100 bucks.

Right now I am tempted to see about buying some of those turtle skin gaiters to go over them or just buy a new pair of rubber snake boots. I'd been looking at the lacrosse 4x alpha snake boots but never tried them on. I wonder if they are any more comfortable than the mucks I used to have.

Basically I'm trying to see how comfortable those lacrosse boots might be. Also, has anyone gone the gaiter route? It sounds good in theory but its just one more piece of gear I'll have to worry about.

Tail Feathers

They have some fans out there.  I would suggest you spend $20 on new insoles for your Mucks before you give up on them.

It's not the insoles but right where your heels get blisters

Ahhh yes, that would be a harder fix.

Have you tried sticking some moleskin on the inside on the boot where it is worn. Should buy you some more time.
