recycled plastic for calls?

  I had a forester contact me the other day, and wanted to know if you could make calls out of plastic bottles that he collected on public access areas that were melted down into turning blocks .... what do you all think?

I don't see why not. Some plastics have a lot higher heat tolerance, and I imagine the plastic used in bottles wouldn't, but it could likely be turned very slow. It's a super cool idea.
