Old Lynch world champ

I have an old Lynch's World Champion 102 that has 1958 written on both sides. I's that the year it was made? That doesn't seem possible as I bought it brand new maybe 30 years ago

1958 is the year that call was introduced.  Does the call have stamping on the inside of the box?

I can't find any stamping or writing on the inside. I retired it several years ago but man does it play easy.

Probably made by Alan Jenkins, Liberty Mississippi.  Alan purchased the M.L. Lynch company in 1970.

I appreciate the info, after a good attempt on line all I could find was it may be the date made or the serial number. What you said makes way more sense.
