One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Thanks guys!  Connected on my second MS gobbler this weekend!  Unfortunately my buddy I took hunting missed two different birds the same day. It was an action packed day with lots of shooting!

The episode highlighting this hunt with Andy and I was published this week on The Turkey Hunter Podcast!  Check it out!

Bird #2 a few weeks ago.  Got my hunting buddy on some birds and he missed, an hour later we moved to a different spot and were getting our guns, vests, etc. out of the truck and heard one hammer 200 yards away in a field.  Slipped up on him and 30 min. later he was dead!

Bird #3 hit the dirt last Wednesday at 6:45pm.  Hopped over to the hunting property after work and slipped up on two gobblers strutting and gobbling a few hundred yards from a roost area.  Slipped up to the edge of the field scratching in the leaves as I eased up.  Once I got up to the edge of the field two hens walked 10 yards right of me in the woods ( I assume they heard the scratching and went that thinking it was another hen), needless to say the gobblers followed the hens right into my.

Woodsmanship kills birds.  Tagged out in MS and never made a single yelp to any of these birds, scratching the leaves was the most I did to kill any of them.
