Front sight 935 Moss

Has anyone tried removing the factory sight on their Mossberg 935. They refer to it as a turkey taker fiber optic sight. Anyways I have a new front site and need to remove the old one but it doesn't seem to want to pop off. I don't want to ruin it in case I have to reuse it.

im not a 100% sure but i think it threads off

The rifle type turkey sights slide off, the fiber optic front "bead" and standard white bead are threaded. The white comes off easy, the fiber optic are a bit more fragile as the screw stud appears to be silver soldered to the sight base. If it's like mine the manufacturer is LPA, they retail for $24.00.

It ended up just popping off. Nothing was really holding it on the ventilated rib but the spring tension of how the sight wrapped around the rib.
