Does anyone have any feedback on the Nomad Turkey Vest that was an introduced last spring? I've seen some reviews of other vests but haven't ran across a review of this Vest post season from last spring. I picked one up as a Christmas gift and will be putting it to test this spring. I'll be replacing an older Primos Turkey Vest that I've had for about 8 years. I like this one because it fits me better and is way lighter. I like the pocket layout including the Thermacell pocket. The one thing that looks to be an issue is the snap on the pot call pocket. Other than that, I think it will hunt. Thanks.

I hunted with this vest last spring and overall I liked it but as you mentioned they made a mistake by putting a snap on the pot call holder. Also I wish some of the pockets had a little more depth.

I was reading something recently that said they would be launching a revised version for this spring but I have not found it yet.

I used the nomad all of last season and really liked it. I cut the strap off an old thermacell holster and stitched it on.

I believe this vest has been reworked for this spring. I was excited about this vest last year, but once I got one in my hands I was very disappointed. Looking forward to seeing the revised version.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm going to have to go with this original design this year and deal with the little flaws. For one thing, I'm hoping the shallower pockets will limit me because Lord knows I take way too much stuff with me. I've been thinking of a way to fix that pot call pocket snap issue so I appreciate that little tip! My older vest seemed to be shrinking over the last couple of years so I really do like the adjustability of the Nomad vest. At least I'll be more comfortable.

Agreed with the above comments!  Bought it last year and really disliked the snap pot call holders. Didn't really like the fit or seat either. Ended up immediately selling it

as mentioned above, great idea but definitely not designed by a turkey hunter , with much improvement this could be an awesome vest. Looking forward to seeing the new improved version!!!

Lol! I agree. Me and my dad have been saying" definitely not designed by a turkey hunter" for years. The problem is our vest are so personal that there never will be the perfect vest. Maybe a build your own option would be nice.

Im pretty sure this vest was definitely designed by a turkey hunter and one who is on here and is a killer.  Might have missed on an item or two but its a good vest, esp. for a first try. Similar in set up to a Dixon.  Pro tip, the thermacell pocket can also hold a box call

As noted, some improvements needed , but overall satisfied with the one I used last year.

The zippers are junk.

There are also a lot of issues with weak magnets or magnets that were installed incorrectly so they don't work right. I can't use a striker holder due to that, need to fix it. I think my vest made it two days before the zippers needed replacing. Great layout but poor quality materials and poor quality control.

i bought one before last season (actually 2, first one had a hole in it when i got it out of the box) and would echo would most guys said.  the snap on the pot call pocket wasn't a great idea but wasn't a deal breaker and could be fixed.  the striker pockets and magnets worked fine but if you run longer strikers they may not close.  my biggest issue was just the overall quality of the vest.  cheap zippers, cheap buckles, cheap straps, etc. the padding on the seat would bottom out against the ground immediately when I sat down and I'm only 175#.  i ended up selling mine and putting the money towards an alps grand slam which i love.
