Looking for some ideas

I know this is non turkey related but I am looking for some ideas. I am thinking about starting to bow hunt deer on some of the game lands I spring turkey hunt on. I am looking at ways to get all my gear back say a mile or two. ATVs are prohibited on Game Lands in PA, and I really don't want to carry an 18lb. climbing stand, a back pack and my bow that far. I was thinking about a game cart, any suggestions would be appreciated.

The hawk crawler would be a great cart for you.

I bought the  Super mag hauler from Amazon this year.  Its the same cart my dad bought from cabelas years ago.  Ive used it to haul out two deer and haul in a rediculously large two person stand with no problems.  Well worth the hundred or so i payed for it.

A mile or two is actually really far. I'd use a pedometer to determine if you're really going that far. If so no cart will suit you imo.
The next thing to address is the type terrain? Is it a dirt road, trail, woods?
Hate to say it but that electric bike is expensive but it comes w a cart you can add on. That might be your answer. My buddy is older and loves his and uses it all the time
Think it's quiet cat or something

I kill deer every year on public land here in the mountains of western Md. Personally I just drag them out. I have reservations about dragging a cart around everywhere I go and seldom is there a clear path back to my vehicle. My approach is to hunt smart and still expect to work. I typically hunt uphill from my truck and then I have a drag downhill. I keep a short length of rope on my belt with knife and shells. When a deer is killed it gets gutted and the treestand, backpack and gun or bow gets lashed to the stand, a short stick becomes my pulling handles and I start dragging. It's a workout and being in decent shape is a must but I don't think fighting a cart through the laurel and over logs would be any easier.  1.6 miles is the furthest I have had to drag one in the last few years. And as others have said a mile in is a lot further than most think it is. Can also quarter it out and pack it. I am not a fan of that unless I am still hunting though. Already have enough weight on my back if carrying a stand. Also if another road is closer than the truck I have been known to drag it down  near the road. Hide the deer, treestand, and backpack. Hike back to the truck and drive around. Just make sure and hide it well. Long story short be prepared to work. Be in shape and think things out. Quite frankly it is some of my favorite hunting and I get a lot of satisfaction knowing my success stems from my willingness to out work 90% of the other fellows out there.

I don't hunt deer anymore, but for 20 or so years I was obsessed with bow hunting. I had an old Cabelas deer cart and replaced the hard small wheels with mountain bike wheels. I hunted a lot of refuges that get a lot of pressure I was usually at least 2 miles from the truck. I used what logging trails or  4 wheeler trails I could but a lot of it was thru woods. I don't know how many deer and hogs I rolled out on that cart but it was a pile. Never had any trouble getting thru the woods unless it was deep mud. I also had a plastic snow sled for the late winter hunts when a lot of the Bottomland areas were 2 feet under water. . I'd role the cart up to the water lock it to a nearby tree an sled my stand backpack bow etc to my hunting spot. Floated a lot of deer out that way as well. The sled worked good on hills (on the downhill side) it will slide over leaves and small brush with no problem. Hunting deep in the woods will require some planning and being in shape but it's usually not crowded. Most people think walking a mile is a mini marathon lol. I love hunting other states that have locked gates or walkin only areas makes getting away from people easy. In Louisiana they will ride a 4 wheeler right up to there trestand if they could they would ride it up the tree to there stand. The laziest human beings in North America.
If you make everything easy how do you know when your good at anything?

I use a mystery ranch pop up pack to carry my stand attached to the frame of my pack, very comfortable with my stand and gear together and if I need to I can use the pack to haul the meat out as well.

This is the one i got.  I did replace the bolts that hold the axles on with clips so they are removable.

This is the stand i hauled in with it.  I put the foot platform on my shoulder and my wife pulled the cart.  To get to the stand location is about 5-600 yards through a fresh clear cut, to the woods, down into the bottom, cross two creeks and over a few smaller trees.  She had no problem.  For reference, here is the stand.  It was mostly assembled except the foot platform which was on my shoulder, and she had no problem.

I do some deer hunting on public ground where no vehicles are allowed. Game carts are great for flat ground but not so much in hill country or brush. What I do is hang a stand preseason, or brush in a spot on the ground. I carry a back pack and external frame pack/hauler frame. If I kill one way back I cut and quarter. It might take two trips to get the deer out but honestly it beats the hell out of dragging or fighting with a deer cart.

For years I've used a camo mountain bike to get back in the woods and away from the crowds. When I used to deer hunt with it, I also used a game cart for hauling stands in and deer out. An easy way is to undo the nuts off of the bolts that go through the springs on the bottom of the bike's seat. Then swing the seat up and forward. Then take a piece of conduit cut the length of the game cart handle and place it in the seat frame. Lower the seat back down over the conduit, and tighten the nuts down onto the bolts. Then drill a hole in each end of the conduit, as well the game cart handle. 2 bolts with wingnuts secures the cart to the conduit. As you pedal the bike the cart follows behind you. It works great!!
Here's a pic of my bike.

I tend to hunt away from trails so carts did not work well.
A quality backpack (Kifaru, Stone Glacier), the gutless method, and quality game bags will do wonders for you. I haven't gutted or dragged a deer in so long I'm not sure I would remember how to gut one.
