Wild Turkey Wingbones SOLD
For a number of years, I made wingbone yelper turkey calls with scrimshawed images on the bones. During the early years, I had trouble obtaining enough wingbones to meet the orders that I was getting. Eventually I had enough people donating wings from birds that they had taken and wound up amassing a nice inventory. I have stopped making the yelpers due to eyesight issues and now have a number of wingbones that I will not use. I want to offer them to the callmakers here to help get them back into the spring woods where they belong.
I have for sale the following specific bones.
Humerus - 59
Radius - 71
Ulna - 57
I also will include 5 joined wingbone sets and a bag of Goulds wingbones sent to me from Mr. Earl Mickel.
The wingbones are from Eastern gobblers and hens, Rios, Merriams, Osceolas and Goulds. The hen wings were legally obtained from the game biologists here in Mississippi from fatalities associated with trapping and radio collaring studies.
Most of the bones have already been boiled, trimmed, cleaned internally and externally and soaked in a weak hydrogen peroxide solution for cleansing and whitening. No bleach was ever used on these bones. Some of the humerus bones have had the internal bone mesh removed with a Dremel. There are enough bones in this offer to make around 60 wingbone yelpers.
These bones will give someone a chance to jump right into this fascinating and fun hobby and develop their own yelpers.
Price for the whole lot is $150, shipping included.
Thanks.
