May 2018 I asked for advice here about someone to make a two sided red and green pot call. It arrived last week. Thank you Pat Strawser. This red slate comes from a quarry in VT that is owned by the family of one of my college friends.  He passed away a few years ago and I wanted a call made from his slate.  I'll be thinking of him when the gobblers answer.

That's a nice keeper for sure ... great tribute

Very nice, the colors work great together. Great tribute to a friend.

Thanks for the nice comments. I like the sound of this call and the sides sound different enough to make using them both an advantage  (I think).  Combined with a 2 sided glass and gray slate call and a couple strikers I can sound like a rafter.

Play with many strikers, I know that Neal's diamond-wood sounds great on all my calls, really good with my aluminum, makes the rollover effortless.
