Dove hunting choke?

Hey guys I haven't been on a good dove hunt in years. I'm planning to go tomorrow and am getting my stuff together. What is y'alls preferred choke? Modified or full. I'll be shooting a 870 Express magnum 12ga.  I really don't now much about where I'm going except that it's a big private field.

If it is the first day they have shot the field and it is private ground with just a few people and somewhat controlled then go with the modified. If your going to hunt birds that have been shot at before then full or extra full. It helps to know the crowd, if they are a bunch of sky busters and won't let the birds enter the field then better take a full choke, but on most private hunts modified is fine. I take my O/U with improved cyl and full combo and I have both covered. I actually kill most of my doves with Imp. Cyl.

I typically use Improved or Modified depending if it's a Steel Shot only public field or not.

Full chokes are mainly good in their respects for shooting doves when in a public field full of sky busters, like previously mentioned.

With these screw in chokes , just take both mod.. improved ... it will depends on bird numbers and how they are flying .. which choke....

Not knowing the field and situation, I`d screw in mod and take an IC and full in my pocket. If I were shooting over mojos I`d probably shoot skeet choke or IC

Thanks guys. I found a modified in the closet and picked up a full at the local gander outdoors so I should be good to go.  I haven't been in so long I'm kind of excited about it. I just watched some dove cooking videos on YouTube lol.

I always use improved cylinder.  Works good for me.  Kill d two limits last weekend.
